APSI is led by founder and instructor Arthur Knapp — survival instructor, tracker, forager, herbalist, and Wilderness First Responder with years of real field experience in Michigan’s backcountry. His background isn’t theoretical or borrowed. It’s earned through seasons of hunting, tracking, navigating, and living off the land long before “bushcraft” became a trend. Every course reflects that lived experience, delivering authentic wilderness training, real emergency preparedness, and the kind of self‑reliance that only comes from time spent in the wild.

The Experience: What’s Included
We provide a safe, high-value environment so you can focus entirely on mastering the wild.
Duration: Friday 3 PM – Sunday 12 PM (Weekend courses)
Dietary Needs: We do not provide meals. Please bring your own food, especially for specific requirements (GF, Vegan, etc.).
Family-Friendly Environment: We maintain a positive, clean-language atmosphere suitable for all ages.

Note: All participants must sign a liability waiver. To maintain a safe learning environment, weapons and illegal substances are prohibited. Alcohol is strongly discouraged.

Non-students are welcome to join our community for $150 per weekend. Your registration includes:
