Survival & Bushcraft Training — From First Steps to Full Mastery
Whether you’re stepping into the woods for the first time or refining years of field experience, Arcturus Primitive Skills Institute offers survival and bushcraft training that meets you where you are—and pushes you further. Our beginner courses focus on foundational wilderness skills, mindset development, and safe field practice. Intermediate tracks introduce layered challenges and scenario-based learning to build confidence, adaptability, and decision-making under pressure. For those ready to lead, our advanced survival training demands precision, resilience, and the ability to perform under real-world stress.

Every class is hands-on and field-tested in Michigan’s forests—where terrain, weather, and discomfort are part of the curriculum. You’ll learn to build shelters from natural materials, make fire without matches, navigate without GPS, and purify water from wild sources. Our Edible & Medicinal Plants class teaches safe foraging and practical plant use for food, healing, and long-term resilience. The Knots & Fire class focuses on essential cordage skills, lashings, and primitive firecraft—critical tools for any serious survivalist. Our Grid-Down Training classes simulate total infrastructure failure, preparing you to operate without power, communication, or supply chains. Whether you’re training for backcountry emergencies or long-term collapse, APSI delivers the survival skills and mindset to stay capable when it counts.
