Master survival knots for shelter, rescue, and gear hauling. Learn primitive fire-starting techniques, including flint and steel, ferrocerium rods, solar ignition, char cloth, and more. Build shelters from natural materials and understand key design principles. Filter and purify water using field-tested methods. Identify edible and medicinal plants native to the eastern woodlands. Navigate terrain with land navigation skills. Earn a Certificate of Completion to mark your achievement.
We provide a private toilet area, and you’ll be safe, comfortable, and well-supported throughout the weekend. After class hours, gather around the campfire for good stories, shared laughs, and a chance to connect with fellow students and the instructor(s).
